Worship & Music
Worship is the foundation of all we do, not only on Sunday but throughout the week. You will find a diversity of styles, formal, informal, contemporary and traditional. In all, we offer the best we have, we experience the mystery of God, hear and wrestle with God's word, share Christ's presence in the sacraments, feel God's love in community and leave strengthened to live and serve the world.
Through our short history music has held a place of high esteem in the rich life of Mountain Song. Some great singers and musicians like Ray Vester, Becky Crawford, Eric McNabb, George Greene, Jerry Cundiff, Miss Arkansas Alyse Eady, and David Fountain have blessed our worship. Weekly worship is the highest corporate act of the body of Christ. It is the visible demonstration that God is "Priority One" to us, and to our church. May the presence of the Holy Spirit be felt in every word, spoken and sung to the glory of our God.
We will always be grateful to Michael Burks who served the Cathedral and his Lord with great enthusiasm the past year as our Minister of Music. God's blessings on you Michael in your new endeavors for Jesus Christ.
