When I was 12 I entered into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. I already had feelings that I did not understand. At the age of 15 I felt the call of God through the Holy Spirit calling me to preach. I pastored in the Baptist church the next 20 years with much success. Finally I realized God was not going to change me and that my calling was to the gay and lesbian community. I am now in my 7th church bringing the message of a Christ who loved and died for all, an unconditional love. Dan Rather once asked me if God loved homosexuals and my response was that God especially loved homosexuals. He asked why I would say that. To which I responded on national television, "when we were young we had no one to talk to but God." This blog is not for those who wish to argue but for those who wish to understand how I came to know the Peace that only Jesus can give. I believe that over 50% of all teenage deaths are a direct result in dealing with their sexual orientation. Please ask your questions, share your frustrations and know that you are not a mistake but a loved child of God.
